Life as a Cabbie:
Meet Stephanie Madrigal

Campus Unity Co-Chair - Joined second year (Fall 2023)

Hi, I’m Stephanie Madrigal, a third-year Business and Management Economics major and one of CAB’s Campus Unity Co-Chairs. I joined CAB at the start of my second year because I was looking for a community on campus and a place to express my creativity through event planning.

Being a cabbie means balancing school with leadership, teamwork, and a lot of creative collaboration. I spend time planning meetings, working on decor, and connecting with my committee and the general board. My favorite part is the bonds I’ve built with the people I work with.

One of my favorite projects this year was CABapalooza. I loved getting to pick the inflatables (the boxing one was a hit!) and seeing students enjoy everything we put together. Ending the night with a movie made it even more special for me as a big movie fan.

CAB is definitely a commitment, but it’s incredibly rewarding. I’ve made some of my closest friendships here, and there’s nothing like seeing students enjoy an event you helped create. CAB has also helped me grow as a leader and gain skills that I know will support me in my future career.

If you’re thinking about joining, my biggest advice is to picture yourself here. CAB may be a large group, but it truly feels like a family. If you’re passionate about creativity, student leadership, and making a difference on campus, CAB is an amazing place to grow.
