Hi everyone! My name is Desiree Solis, your Campus Unity Co-Chair for this academic year. I am from Berkeley, CA and I have a yorkie named Kona. I enjoy traveling, trying new cuisines, and being creative through various forms of art (i.e., digital, photography, etc.). In the future, I plan to attend graduate school and get my Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience, and in general, continue to give back to my community through research and academia.

I joined CAB because I wanted to continue to expand my leadership skills while also learning the ins and outs of event planning. I also wanted to be more involved on campus and contribute to making more fun, inclusive, and welcoming events for the student body. My first favorite CAB memory was during my first event as a general board member (CABCinema in the Fall of 2021) when my committee had shown the movie Luca. My second favorite CAB memory was last year (CABapalooza in the Fall of 2022) since this was the first event I led as Campus Unity Co-Chair! If I had to pick my favorite CAB event, it would have to be either CABCinema or one of the yearly concerts!
