Hello, my name is Sophia Velazquez! I am from Whittier, California which is 15 minutes away from the heart of Los Angeles. I have a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd named Aurora. I love going to concerts often and traveling. 2024-2025 is the fourth year being a part of the Campus Activities Board, I joined my first year in Fall 2021 in hopes of feeling involved within UC Merced and finding my forever family. One of my favorite CAB memories is our yearly Six Flags trip and always hanging out with my friends. My favorite CAB event was Cowtopia 2023 because it was when I found out I was going to be the Director of Student Activities for the 2023-2024 academic year. After I finish my time here at UC Merced, I plan to attend law school and fulfill my dreams of becoming a major crimes attorney.
